What is Back to Hockey?
A fantastically fun way to try something new
Back to Hockey is fun, social and informal. With sessions aimed at men and women of all ages and abilities.
Do not worry if you are a little apprehensive, unsure of the rules or worried that you won’t know anyone, our Back to Hockey coaches will gently guide you through a series of fun and interactive sessions, all in a super-friendly and relaxed environment
Each Back to Hockey session will see you develop your individual skills and take part in small-sided friendly games. Many players have also told us they’ve also got fitter as Back to Hockey sessions can burn up to 450 calories.
As well as re-discovering yourself, you will make new friends along the way too. Our club provides opportunities for Back to Hockey players to meet up and socialise.
Our sessions are every Wednesday (started on 24th April), 7:30-8:30pm at the Manor Sport and Recreation Centre. Cost is £3 per session and they are aimed at males and females, aged 13 plus. There is no maximum age; we have some playing up to 60 years old! We can provide hockey sticks if needed, but we do encourage all players to bring suitable shoes for a sand-based astroturf, shinpads and a gumshield.
