Junior Academy Presentation Night
Posted by Clare Cartwright on 17 April 2019
The night was greatly attended with 26 junior hockey players, siblings, parents and all ten coaches! A fun night of bowling and celebrations for over 50 people!
All junior hockey players recieved a trophy for their committment to training and playing this season. Big thanks to J&S trophies in Hasland for producing all of our awards.
The Junior Committee also wanted to present several 'Special Awards' where recognition was made to those players who have gone above and beyond this season. The following were also awarded;
- U10 Player's Player - Maisy Slack
- U12 Player's Player - Ryan Bostock
- U14 Player's Player - Henry Ailward
- Most Improved Boy and Girl - Johnathan Tempest-Mitchell and Grace Nettleship
- Coaches Award (Boy and Girl) - Henry Ailward and Scarlett Holloway
The above winners all recieved another trophy for their recognition and their names have been put on our brand new annual shields, which the club will keep; they will eventually have 18 years worth of winners on! We certailny aren't here for the short-term!
Three of our junior boys players will be playing for our senior mens sides in the 2019/20 season, and those three lads were awarded 'Junior Academy Graduation' certificates. The club wishes them all the best and of course they can still play in our U14 team.
Finally, all of the junior hockey coaches would like to thank every player on their achievements, and all the parents for supporting the junior hockey section this season. We hope this continues to grow next season, and the ground work is already going on in the background for further developments.
Training will be off over the Easter break, and we will be returning with just Wednesday nights (6:30-7:30pm) after Easter, up until the start of June.
