A hard-fought game at Lady Bay ended in a draw. It needed the reflexes of Ian Lowrey who a penalty flick five minutes into the game. North Notts went into the break 2-1 up with goals from Alex Greer and Nathan Smith. Boots never gave up in a game that went from end to end. Ally Quigly ensured that North Notts took a share of the points.

The Boots theme carried on for the men’s teams as the 3s won 2-1 at Manor. It was a game that could have seen North Notts score more, however, they scored enough to bring the game home.
Men’s 4s Boots 5 (A) Lost 6-0
North East 3
It was a difficult start for the 4s as they were soundly beaten. That isn’t to say that a single-player gave less than their total effort. The score was only 2-0 at half-time but Boots grew in confidence in the second half.
Men’s 5s Belper 6 (H) won 8 -1
North East 4
The development side got off to a perfect start. With Sam Sheppard, Toby Slone, Dylan Butler, Henry Ailward and Elliott Nuttall all making senior debuts it was a testament to the work put in their development with the academy coaches.
The goals came from Craig Sheppard, Owen White, and Rob Hudson all scored two goals each and Callum Sheppard and Jay Faulkner scored the other goals. Hopefully, it will be the start of good season for a team with a mix of youth and experience.
